About me
Stephanie has over 15 years of experience working in the field of education. She started her career as a substitute teacher for multiple school districts throughout Kern County. She went on to teach for 5 years at Bakersfield City School District and 7 years for the Fruitvale School District In Bakersfield, CA.
As a passionate advocate for literacy instruction, Stephanie joined the ELA team at KCSOS in 2023 as an ELA Program Specialist. She currently serves students and teachers at various school districts throughout Kern County to strengthen literacy instruction through professional development and coaching in Structured Literacy, the Science of Reading, Thinking Maps, Dyslexia and other research-based instructional practices.
A graduate of San Francisco State University, Stephanie enjoys art, music, and sharing her love of literacy with her two beautiful daughters.
