About me
Dr. Nicole D. Chávez is a distinguished educational leader with a Global Executive Doctorate of Education from USC, where she studied the intricacies of educational systems across the globe, including Finland, Hong Kong, Qatar, and the United States. Complementing her doctoral expertise, she holds pre-doctoral degrees, certifications, and credits from institutions such as Loyola Marymount University, the University of La Verne, CSUF, the California Education Board, and the Department of Real Estate, along with coursework toward her MBA.
Dr. Chávez currently serves as the Administrator for the National Training Center, Project GLAD® (Guided Language Acquisition Design) and Multilingual Academic Services (MAS) at the Orange County Department of Education. In this role, she oversees the strategic development of a network of over 1,300 certified trainers who operate at county, state, national, and international levels. Under her leadership, these trainers and the four Regional Training Centers across the United States have empowered over 1 million students, from preschool through high school, with access to Project GLAD®'s research-based instructional strategies—a milestone she takes immense pride in.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Chávez is deeply passionate about life and adventure. She enjoys tending to her urban micro-farm, caring for her horses, sailing and traveling across the globe, pursuing her black belt in Krav Maga, and building a life of purpose and joy with her family.
