About me
Ms. Anna Catalan, a Guatemalan immigrant, attended California State University-Chico, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development. She received a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. Master’s in education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Walden University. Anna is currently working on her Doctor of Education Degree in Education, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education at Walden University. For the past 22 years, Ms. Catalan has worked in various Educational and Migrant programs throughout California. She has been a counselor at Middle and High Schools. She has been an Academic Advisor at California State University, Bakersfield, and a College Professor at a private Community College in Davis, California, where she taught Spanish I, Introduction to Ethnic Studies, and Introduction to Indigenous Psychology. She has taught college courses at CSU Bakersfield, including, 101- College Experience and Career Development. For the last five years, Ms. Catalan has been a lecturer for the Department of Human Development and Child Adolescent and Family Studies at California State University, Bakersfield.
